Constantine: The first Pope of the Official Catholic Church organized in 325 A.D.

The Nicean council in 325 A.D. is a major moment in church history. There had been many other Official Government Religions in Roman Empire. These religions had used bloodshed to try to keep their monopoly on religious power. Now, a diluted form of Christianity became the new Official Government Religion.

In practice, Emperor Constantine was the first acting Pope of this
government church. The Nicean Creed is the first official Catholic document and marks the beginning of the Catholic church as an organization. The Emperor himself presided, ‘like some heavenly messenger of God’ wrote Eusebius, Bishop of Caesarea.

There was a time when Nero employed Christians as living torches to illuminate his feasts by greasing their bodies and setting them on fire. Now their spiritual descendants were the honored guests at the feasts of the Emperor Constantine.

First of all, they created three centers of power that would answer to him directly. Rome, Alexandria, and Antioch were the three cities. Of all the congregations in the cities that were called Christian, only those with the Lapsi* faith became the churches of Constantine. The hierarchy of authority was established. Now all Lapsi churches would be subject to a patriarch in one of the key cities. This was new. These three centers would have the control of what other churches taught, and who their leaders would be. This was designed to keep everything homogenized.

The reader is bound to ask the logical question, if the Lapsi churches are departing from the traditions of the Apostles, and the Cathari churches are true to the faith of Jesus Christ, then why is so much attention being given to this Lapsi meeting? The reason is Canon VIII. This historical document, whose authenticity is above reproach, contains Section 8 which directly contradicts all modern church histories as they are written. Modern church histories are the histories of the Lapsi churches. These same histories deny that 'Bible Believers' existed in all ages under many different slanders.
